The Grindrod Garlic Festival Society was able to make donations to a number of non-profit and community organizations that volunteered at the Festival.
Grindrod Elementary PAC coordinated the busy Kids’ Activities area.
Our local church youth group, a sports club and 4-H clubs helped with set up, parking, gates, garbage and take down.
Allan Brooks Nature Centre brought their mobile Nature Trailer and a unique opportunity to visit with raptors.
“We want to recognize the youth and groups that help at the Festival, and give back to the community when we can”
The Grindrod Garlic Festival Society has also established a bursary to be given to a graduating high school student planning to continue their studies in agriculture or environmental science and a grant to schools in our district for an environmental learning project.
